NEW Information:
Results for the EZ Open Water Championships are here. Thank you to all swimmers and parents who came out to the park for this event.
Saturday Important Meet Update:
Due to morning thunderstorms that delayed the meet almost 2 hours and pushed the overall timeline into late night, the coaches and officials unanimously voted to make Saturdays events timed finals for ALL age groups. The 12 & under session will now begin around 3:10pm and the meet will end around 6pm. There will be no finals tonight.
NEW Open Water Update:
Due to the possibility of thunderstorms in the afternoon, we are going to plan to start the 1st race a little earlier than originally scheduled. All check-in for the event should be done between 8 and 9am, with around 9am being the potential start time. Therefore, strive to arrive by 8am. We may have to alter the race schedule just a little to ensure that we are able to conduct each race. As a result, we may choose to conduct the 15-19 3k first, then run the 2k and 1k together if need be. Please be prepared for a modified schedule.

Hotel Information
2011 Eastern Zone LC Age Group Championship
August 10-13, 2011
State College, PA
Nittany Lion Aquatic Club (NLAC) has entered into agreements with three local hotels to serve as "host hotels" and in turn provide special rates. All three are very convenient to the pool, and regularly host clubs and swimmers for NLAC meets, to include the 2009 Eastern Zone Meet. The Ramada offers a special rate for LSCs making team reservations. The contact information is:
Ramada Conference Center, 1450 South Atherton Street, State College, Pennsylvania. Individuals should call 814-238-3001 and mention NLAC when making the reservation.
The Courtyard by Marriot and Residence Inn are also offering preferred rates for LSCs. For the preferred rate, individuals should call Vera at 814-238-1881 Extension 7166, and again mention NLAC.
We HIGHLY encourage all teams to take advantage of this opportunity and book at one of the above hotels for a GREAT rate and GREAT stay.

Hotel For Open Water Championships:
It is highly recommended that all swimmers competing in the open water competition who are also competing in the pool portion of the Eastern Zone meet, keep their hotel room in State College on Saturday August 13th. The state park where the open water meet is being hosted is only 25 minutes from State College. Also, there are very few hotel options closer to Bald Eagle State Park.
If you are coming strictly for the open water event, please see the link to the Eastern Zone Championship meet announcement at the top of this page for hotels listed.
Also, Bald Eagle State Park has a campground available for anyone interested in planning an activity after the meet. Just so you know, a minimum 2 day stay is required on the weekends in the summer. For more information on camping and to learn more about Bald Eagle State Park, please click here.
